Mr. Mike Gomez is in his 5th year of teaching, all as the Director of Bands at Woodland Heights Middle School in Mooresville, NC. He received his Bachelor's degree from Mars Hill University in 2015 with a degree in Music Education, where he studied with Mike Robinson. In addition to being the Director of Bands at Woodland Heights Middle School, Mr. Gromez proudly serves as the Assistant Marching Band Director for the LNHS Marching Wildcat Band as well as Director of the LNHS Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Gomez is humbled and blessed to be able to be the Band Director at WHMS as well as get to work with the exceptional LNHS Band Program.

Mrs. Kathryn Redling is in her 17th year of teaching and her 7th at Lakeshore Middle School. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Her primary instruments are oboe and saxophone.  Kathryn began teaching Band in the Fall of 2006. Middle school band programs under her direction have been successful in many areas. The students have been accepted into honor bands at the county, district, and state levels. Students have also scored highly at Music Adjudication Festivals.

Jordan McCray graduated from Mars Hill University in 2019 with a degree in Music Education where he received the outstanding graduate award. While at Mars Hill, he studied percussion under Dr. Brian Tinkel, Mr. Justin Mabry, Mr. Paul Babelay and Mr. Rick Cline. Mr. McCray currently teaches general music at Woodland Heights Elementary School and is the percussion director at Lake Norman High School. Mr. McCray also does freelance percussion work for various high schools across North Carolina. He is endorsed by Salyers Percussion.
